Dana McGinnis
Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Dana McGinnis is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Mission Advisors. He has given his investors a window to investing around the world and in many markets. He is a regular speaker at industry functions ranging from Midland, Texas to Johannesburg, South Africa.
In 1976, he began his career at Paine Webber/Rotan Mosle, where he began his life-long interest in the domestic and global energy sector. He became partner in a small broker dealer that led him to establish San Antonio Capital Management in 1989. He launched a suite of global macroeconomic hedge funds over the following decade and was among the pioneers of hedge fund investing on a worldwide scale.
Mr. McGinnis subsequently founded Mission Advisors, which manages pure energy investments as well as several institutional and high net-worth accounts.
Among his philanthropic interests, Mr. McGinnis is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Nautical Archaeology Foundation, a non-profit research organization promoting the study of the history of seafaring and the conservation of artifacts saved from underwater archaeology and shipwrecks.
Mr. McGinnis received his B.A. from Princeton University in Art History and Archaeology.
